Kuehne + Nagel Projects Muted Shipping Demand Through Holidays
Kuehne + Nagel International is projecting lower than usual freight volumes to end the year after retailers and manufacturers pulled in holiday goods early because of global shipping disruptions. Stefan Paul, chief executive of Kuehne + Nagel, the world’s largest freight forwarder by revenue, said the traditional peak shipping season when retailers pull in goods to fill store shelves arrived earlier than usual this year as importers rushed in merchandise amid heightened fears of supply-chain delays.
